Announcing 2021 Postman Plans and Pricing Updates

Avatar

Today, Postman is announcing new plans and pricing to align with the needs of all of our different customers.

We are continuously adding capabilities to the Postman API Platform to make it better for everyone, from individual developers to large enterprises with thousands of developers. Along with new and innovative capabilities, we know that it’s important to offer plans for all types of customers too.

Postman for developers

Postman was started by developers and built for developers. We have added great tools and capabilities over the last 18 months, including the Postman v9 update in September.

These updates have not only delivered incremental value, they’ve redefined the API management product category. In the last year, we’ve shipped more than 30 features and improvements, including significant ones like:

All this innovation and capability is now available via three developer-focused plans:

  • Postman Free: We’ve made our free tier a team plan. Now teams of up to three can collaborate at no cost. $0.
  • Postman Basic: Since our free tier is now a team product, it no longer makes sense to call our first paid plan Postman Team. We are changing this plan’s name to Postman Basic with no change in price. Postman Basic will be available at $12/month per user, billed annually, and our existing Team plan customers will be migrated to this plan.
  • Postman Professional: Our customers were understandably confused between our similarly named Business and Enterprise plans. We are changing the Business plan’s name to Postman Professional. The new price is $29/month per user, billed annually, effective December 1, 2021.

Postman for enterprises

In addition to developers, enterprises have increasingly become key Postman customers over the years. Because we recognize that enterprises have significant needs beyond those of smaller teams of developers, we’ve made massive investments this year to address those needs.

Postman Enterprise is our most comprehensive plan and represents the complete Postman API Platform. This plan is tailored to the needs of organizations who want to deploy Postman at scale for their API ecosystem. It is specifically designed to help enterprises on the journey to building modern applications API-first.

Postman Enterprise includes the technology to effectively build, manage, publish, and consume APIs, as well as the services and support enterprises need to succeed. This plan has all of Postman’s enterprise capabilities across API repositories, tools, intelligence, workspaces, and integrations.

In addition to all the great developer tools, Postman Enterprise also includes:

Additionally, in early 2022, we plan to further enhance the Enterprise plan with:

  • Domain capture: Manage and secure all Postman usage in your organization
  • Secrets management: Team-level controls for managing credentials in Postman
  • Partner API Network: Create shared API spaces with third parties that you trust for specific APIs

Price transparency is another key feature of our Enterprise plan that our customers really appreciate—there’s no need to play “let’s guess the price behind the Contact Sales button.”

Our Enterprise plan is priced at $99/month per user, billed annually, effective December 1, 2021.

  • Existing Enterprise customers can lock in the current $69 rate for an additional 12 months via early renewal before December 1, 2021.
  • Customers not on Enterprise today can purchase or upgrade at the current $69 rate before December 1, 2021.

If you have further questions about the new plans, we are here to help! You can reach us at sales@postman.com.

That’s great. Please can you now do prompt on unknown variables and ability to send saved examples directly rather than copying the request over manually. Those issues have been outstanding for years.

It’s a great thing that you’ve opened the basic plan to teams of up to 3 developers.
I do think though that taking money for the professional plan would make sense from the 4th developer/user and not from the first. Makes more sense…

Is it possible to set up a workspace in a way so that it runs on the company servers and all the data stays in house?

    Let me get this straight…

It seems like more than a plan naming change; features of the business plan is being moved into the enterprise offering, effectively quadrupling the price pr. user. (from 24$ to 99$ for private API networks and some integrations)

    Or am I misunderstanding something?

Disappointed that you did not reduce the per-user pricing for teams of 25 or fewer. Postman is great, but it is price prohibitive for us to adopt the Postman-based workflow we want at company. How do you justify making — and keeping — Postman more expensive than basically every other tool used for REST API development?

  • Avatar

If you can add a plan for a small/startup company that has a strength of less than 25 then it would be great because $12/user it’s very much costly for a small team, especially in India. Even ClickUp and JIRA are also flexible for small startups and they have very good user pricing and even they give a discount as well to boost your business.

    Hi,
Postman is amazing, keep up the great work. Really appreciate the free tier and being able to collaborate with 2 others may be a plus but for most of our devs, Postman is a nice to have, but not $12pcm nice.

It’s great that Postman is free for teams of up to three developers – but what about small teams and companies of 5-10-15 developers? Your plans are still very very expensive for those teams to consider. For startups and up-and-coming companies this is simply a no-go, it’s too expensive.

I’m disappointed that the price for Basic remains so high.

Permisi gimana cara nge get data dari laravel

  • Avatar

Well, our team will be using the same features as before,
but now we will have to pay 15$ per user per month for the basic plan,
double of what it was before.

Great thinking from the sales team.

I’m very grateful for the free tier! I’m able to learn so much by myself. If someday I will earn money from this I will be glad to give something back! Thanks Postman and Mr. Asthana

This is a good tools . Easy to use.

Not sure if this tool still be required for this high price, there are tones of analogs. Good luck

I can’t get no connection with auth between Postman and FileMaker 19 server running on Macmini M1. Simply no replay what soever.

Perhaps this is obvious or covered elsewhere. What features are available in Professional but not Basic or Developer? What’s the incentive for upgrading from Business to Professional?

    • Avatar

Hi Peter, You can see the different plans here. The Business plan is being renamed Professional but will retain the same features. Please reach out to us at sales@postman.com if you have more questions!

Hey, I’d like to point out the fact that most of the small teams that use Postman is really small like 20 below. These people could be your Paid subscribers in the future. Why charge money from them at their initial stage. You also have to consider their are free tools which offers similar functionality.

  • Avatar

We are a team of only 2 users in workspace and the app is asking me to select a plan and pay. Why?
It also say trail ends in 14 days…

    • Avatar

Hi, If your team is 3 or less, your free plan continues indefinitely. Please reach out to us at https://www.postman.com/support if you have any questions!

  • Avatar

Sorry postman, I am trying the new block in town Mockswitch and its fast and great for rest APIs, all local and awesome mocking capabilities.

  • Avatar

When upgrading to Postman Basic do you still get the 3 free seats?

    • Avatar

Yes, you still get the three free users included in the Free plan plus more collaboration features. You can see the details in our pricing page here.
