You can now see what’s trending across the Private API Network

Discovering APIs and Postman Collections can be difficult if you don’t know what you are looking for. This is compounded as your organization grows—because so does the number of APIs and collections. Manually navigating each folder and element can become tedious and time-consuming, so, to help with this issue, we’ve introduced the ability to see the top trending APIs, collections, and workspaces across your Private API Network.

Today, when you land on the Private API Network, you can now sort the list of APIs, collections, and workspaces by a trending timeline based on user activity across your Private API Network. As the number of elements in your network grows and user viewership changes, the trending list will also update to reflect those changes.

Here’s an example view of trending elements sorted by the current week:

Trending Elements in Private network

We usually spend 80% of the time working with 20% of the artifacts in a system. Now you don’t need to remember the exact hierarchy and location of popular elements that may suit your needs. With the trending view, the top 20% of APIs, collections, and workspaces in use will constantly be easier to reach—which should help improve efficiency and productivity. This also supports more collaboration because you can see what elements in the Private API Network are being updated by others in the organization.
