That’s a Wrap: Postman Galaxy 2021 Stars and Highlights
A lot can happen in three days. With more than 26,000 registrants from over 150 countries, the Postman Galaxy virtual API conference took place February 2-4, 2021. And it was an exhilarating ride.
Participants from across the globe experienced more than 100 online sessions and 80 speakers—including mind-bending talks with Apple Co-founder Steve Wozniak, NASA veteran Dr. Ellen Ochoa, and AWS Chief Evangelist Jeff Barr. The world’s API community exchanged a vast range of knowledge and fun as it explored the latest in developer trends.
With the Postman platform built to empower developer collaboration, Dr. Ochoa—the first Latina to go to space—talked to the Postman Galaxy audience about teamwork. “It’s important that you have the same big-picture goal if you’re trying to collaborate,” she told us. “Astronauts have to be both good leaders and good team members.”
On that note, the API conference itself proved a collaborative success because of all who participated. So, who attended? Check out the virtual Postman Galaxy photo booth to peek at some of the enthusiastic Postman users, industry leaders, and API fans (and even some pets) that made the event memorable.

Postman API Hack and the power of public workspaces
Postman’s game-changing public workspaces—the first massively multiplayer API experience that launched into beta in November 2020—make it possible for both API producers and consumers to seamlessly communicate and collaborate in real time. To showcase the collective power of Postman, APIs, and public workspaces, Postman hosted the 21-day Postman API Hack, which awarded $100,000 USD in cash prizes.
The incredible response? More than 1,900 developers from 115 countries submitted projects featuring over 200 public workspaces. Contest winners were announced at Postman Galaxy, with the $25,000 Intergalactic Grand Prize going to Docu-Mentor—the standout that enables “documentation review without judgment.” Check out the full list of innovative winners and their public workspaces here.
