# Celebrating our first graduating class of Postman Student Leaders The [Postman Student Leader Program](https://www.postman.com/student-program/#postman-student-leader-program), which allows students to take the next step after earning their [Postman Student Expert](https://www.postman.com/student-program/#postman-student-expert-program) badge, started in 2021 with a vision to create a community of student leaders across the globe who advocate for API literacy on their campus. Official Postman Student Leaders receive: - Access to Postman resources to organize API events on their campus - A Postman Student Leader badge - Opportunities to speak at and participate in Postman events - Invitations to exclusive channels in the [Postman Student Community Discord](https://discord.gg/86nqJUYpej) - Monetary support for events, and much more. We launched the Student Leader Program in beta with [18 student leaders](https://blog.postman.com/announcing-the-postman-student-leader-program/), and we have since scaled up to 137 student leaders across 19 countries. **Today, we’re excited to announce that we have completed the first cycle of our program and are graduating our first set of Postman Student Leaders!** Our first class of graduating students, which represents 33 unique campuses around the world, has executed more than 56 events that promoted API literacy and impacted over 8,000 students. They also executed API Fest, a high-impact event in which 108 teams participated from 28 countries.
